Delta Faucet - Delta Satori 19915-SBSD-DST Pulldown Kitchen Faucet
I purchased this New 6/15/17, it installed pretty easily, has a nice design to it, we like the pulldown faucet feature and it always has plenty of water pressure. BUT the bad thing is since it is a Single Handle control for both hot and cold water the cartridge that they use to control the flow and the shut off is a total piece of Junk!
The first one lasted about a year, (around 7/1/18) I called Delta and they sent me a free replacement, I figured fine this will take care of the problem, Wrong! Here it is now 4/1/19 less than a year later and it is doing the same thing as the past 2 times. It doesn't want to shut off completely and water just keeps drizzling out of it constantly. So I called Delta again and asked them to send me another replacement.
No problem, but regular shipping 6-8 days, faster shipping will cost Me $15. Here its been a week later, no pert, I called to check on it, they forgot to place the order. I asked them if this part is a manufactures defect and they wont give me a straight answer, told them this is the third one in less than 2 years and are they just going to keep sending them to me forever when I need them and they say yes. I told them I have never had a faucet that needs repair every 12 months, usually well built faucets will last 10+ years without needing repair.
They told me that I should flush my water lines, I told him I'm 56 years old and have never ever done that on a home and have never heard of anyone ever doing it in order to maintain a faucet and he said that you need to do it every so often to help keep settlement out of the cartridge.
Excuse me but isn't that the whole purpose of the cartridge? When you turn it on WATER runs through it, I would think that would be flushing it out every time.
Either way they have a problem with the cartridges made for this model of faucet, I will never buy another Delta faucet especially if i have to wait on them AFTER it breaks to send me parts and it happens every year.
